The good people at the Middle-earth Network have undertaken a wonderful project: they are building an online crossroads for Tolkien fans of all persuasions and interests. They are like the virtual Prancing Pony. Their site features a great news feed, a 24/7 Tolkien-themed internet radio station, and now a complete social networking site for Tolkien fans.
Since April of 2011, I have made the Middle-earth Network my home for all of my discussion groups and live text chats. If you would like to join the discussion, create a quick profile and join us at the Tolkien Professor groups over in Middle-earth Network.
